I haven’t been very consistent with my fitness regimen. At a stretch, I’ve been able to do about 2 months of consistent, scheduled lifting (StrongLifts 5x5 3 - 4 years back). As I approach 30, I’d like to give myself a cheeky surprise on my birthday next year with some more well-defined mass. Besides hiking and having some long-distance endurance, my aerobic capacity (for short bursts of sustained high intensity movement)isn’t great either. I used to swim competitively when I was younger, but haven’t done so much as I’ve grown older, which is a shame. I’m going to look into some local pools here in Seattle that I can go to on my off-days.

I’m planning on starting up StrongLifts 5x5 again this coming Monday, and will be following it for 90 days just to get some core strength built up. During this time, I’ll be cleanbulking as much as I can.

Will update tomorrow after my first session with my starting weights.
